Directly after Sunday's screening of the documentary, Millennium Trilogy- The Story, we will have a panel discussion and Q&A. Panelists will include:
Dr. Margaret Hayford O'Leary, Chair of the Norwegian Dept. and Director of the Nordic Studies Program at St. Olaf College. In addition to being an avid reader of all things Nordic, Margaret has long been a fan of crime novels. Margaret's newest class is entitled "Murder Nordic Style" which examines crime fiction of the Nordic countries.
Dr. Helena Karlsson, Chair of the Scandinavian Studies Dept. at Gustavus Adolphus College. Helena, a native Swede, teaches courses on Nordic literature and film.
Jean Hanslin has been leading a lively book discussion about the trilogy at The American Swedish Institute.
Pat Frovarp/ Gary Shulze are the owners of the popular bookstore Once Upon a Crime, an independent bookstore in Minneapolis.
Lee Egerstrom, a veteran journalist and author of books on agriculture, economic development and cooperative business development, is a research fellow at Minnesota 2020 in the area of rural economic development.
The panel will be moderated by Dr. Kari Lie, director of the Nordic Lights Film Festival.
